Due to recent abuses of the appointment front-end grace periods, T5 will no longer offer a front-end grace period on appointments. We will continue to offer a back-end grace period of 45 minutes to accommodate our gate queue if a driver arrives to the terminal on time and needs to process through the gate. This is effective immediately.
For example, a 10am-1pm appointment will not be valid until 10am but we will honor until 1:45pm.

SSA Terminal 5 (T5) appointments are mandatory for LOCAL IMPORT ROWS (C400, F&G3/400).
Reminder - Confirm that your import container is 'AVAILABLE' before sending drivers to the terminal. To reflect as 'AVAILABLE' on the Terminal(s) website, the container must have a Trucker SCAC, Customs Status, SSL Freight Paid, Demurrage paid if applicable and be in an accessible position on the terminal

No Chassis are available at Terminal 5, please secure a chassis before arriving.
All empty containers returning to Terminal 5 MUST have valid Empty Drop Appointment BEFORE the truck arrives at the terminal.

- Empty Pre-Arrivals will remain lodged in the system for 4 calendar days.
- Containers must be on-hired if needed prior to in-gating
Starting 1/30/23, Gates will open at 8:00 AM
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM In-gate transactions (export or empty drop, import pick) will not be given past 16:00
