The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) is excited to welcome Emirates Shipping Lines (ESL) to the gateway for their inaugural service to the U.S. market. The arrival of the M/V Bright on August 16th represents the ESL’s expansion to the U.S. and continuation of the popular Sun Chief Express (SCX) service, the fastest service from Vietnam and South China to the US available, with a transit time of just 18 and 15 days respectively.

The NWSA received the highest overall rating among West Coast ports with top scores in three of the five categories. We welcome this prestigious recognition as it highlights the NWSA’s exceptional performance in delivering world-class service.

Last month marked a welcome addition to the Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA) gateway with the completion of Floor & Decor’s first distribution center in the Pacific Northwest. This 1.1 million square foot facility will serve as a key hub for imports coming to the West Coast, a significant addition to our robust supply chain ecosystem, bringing in jobs and economic development to the state and the region.
