We’d like to remind drivers in the South Harbor to proceed to Lot F before coming into East Sitcum Terminal (formerly OCT) except bobtail. Starting Thursday, Sept. 28, if a driver bypasses Lot F, that driver will be banned for the day.
If the driver arrives for East Sitcum Terminal (EST) before 7 a.m., you may proceed directly to the EST main gate. The first 15 trucks on Port Center Road will be staged between 5:30 and 7 a.m. each morning. If your truck is not one of the first 15, then you will be directed to Lot F. Once Port Center Road is full, the Port of Tacoma security personnel will put out a stop sign at the main gate, which will be the indicator for drivers to turn down 11th Street and proceed to Lot F.
The terminal operator will send an email for “Empty Gate Update” on a daily basis to indicate where empties should to be returned or picked up. If all empty transactions are directed to EST, please understand that it could be a very busy day. To help improve traffic flow, four more overflow lanes have been added at Lot F.
