WUT: Road repairs this weekend will impact terminal access

A message from Washington United Terminals: 

The repairs to Port of Tacoma Road in front of WUT are scheduled to start this Friday, Jan. 8. 

• The back gate to Thorne will close at 3 p.m. for all trucks crossing to the main terminal. Trucks entering to pick up or drop off empties will still be allowed to enter. 
• Trucks leaving WUT will be required to turn right (northbound) onto Port of Tacoma Road. 
• The bobtail lane will be open for delivery, personal vehicles and truck traffic, but needs to be kept at a minimum to avoid back up on Port of Tacoma Road.  

Please plan to have all trucks to WUT prior to 3 p.m. Also keep in mind that the bobtail lane will close promptly at 4:30 p.m. except to employee vehicles.

The staging lanes will reopen Monday morning for all trucks (Jan. 11).
