The City of Tacoma plans to pave a section of Thorne Road Saturday, Oct. 8. The work is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled.
The work is expected to close the northbound lane of Thorne Road between Lincoln Avenue and Maxwell Way from 6 a.m. to about 8 p.m. Traffic traveling southbound will not be impacted.
The detour will route traffic to Port of Tacoma Road, Maxwell Way and then to Thorne Road. Message boards will be in place to help direct traffic.
