The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.

This week's highlights: 

  • May 2: 3rd Ave. Arterial Paving Project begins (Virginia to Broad).  First phase will reduce 3rd Ave. to one lane in each direction between Virginia St. and Blanchard St.  Project is expected to last 10 months.
  • May 5 - 8: Eastbound I-90 reduced to one lane between Seattle and Bellevue; traffic will be diverted to the express lanes.
  • May 6: Windermere Cup and Boat Parade will close the Montlake Bridge from approximately 10AM to 4PM.
  • May 6 - 7: Northbound I-5 reduced to one lane between Boeing Access Rd. and Olive Way Saturday night.
  • May 8 - June 11: Westbound Denny Way closed nightly between Stewart St. and Fairview Ave. N. during duct bank installation.
  • May 11 - 13: Upstream Music Fest and Summit at various venues in Pioneer Square.
  • May 14: U-2 concert at CenturyLink Field.
