The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.

This week's highlights: 

  • July 27: Annual microsurfacing of residential streets begins in various neighborhoods throughout Seattle.
  • July 29 - 30: Southbound I-5 fully closed at Stewart St/Denny Way off-ramp during testing of the fire suppression system under the Convention Center.
  • July 29 - August 1: Southbound I-5 reduced to two lanes south of Seattle while crews replace concrete panels.  This is the second of five weekend lane reductions.
  • July 29 - August 1: University Bridge fully closed while crews repave the roadway.
  • July 30: Seafair Torchlight Parade will close 4th Ave. between the Seattle Center and Pioneer Square.
  • July 31: Pista sa Nayon festival at Seward Park.
  • August 4 - 7: I-90 closed between I-5 and Mercer Island during Seafair Airshow.
