The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.

This week's highlights:

King County currently remains in Phase 2 of Governor Jay Inslee's 'Safe Start' reopening plan.  Accordingly, all special events, sporting events, and concerts have been canceled, postponed, or rescheduled until further notice, unless noted below.

  • June 8 - TBD: I-5 Express Lanes close at 8PM nightly until further notice.
  • June 26 - 28: Closures on Westlake Ave N, EB Mercer St., Terry Ave N and Republican St. for a crane operation.  Fri 7 p.m. - Sun 7 p.m. - TENTATIVE
  • June 26: Lane reductions on SB I-5 over the Ship Canal Bridge.  9 p.m. - 8:30 a.m.
  • June 27: Lane reductions on SB I-5 over the Ship Canal Bridge and the NE 45th St. on-ramp closed to SB I-5.  9 p.m. - 8:30 a.m.
  • July 10 - 13: S Michigan St. closed between E Marginal Way S and 4th Ave S and lane reductions on 4th Ave S and E Marginal Way S.  Fri 9 p.m. - Mon 5 a.m.
  • July 17: Full northbound closure of the SR99 Tunnel for monthly maintenance.  Fri 10 p.m. - Sat 8 a.m.
