The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.

 

This week's highlights: 

 

  • October 12: Burke-Gilman Trail between 15th Ave. NE and Rainier Vista closes for approximately 9 months during trail improvements.
  • October 17: There will be a full directional closure of westbound SR 18 between I-90 and Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m.  This work is weather-dependent.
  • October 17 -18: Banner Wy. NE/NE 80th St. on-ramp to northbound I-5 closed.  Access to N. 85th St. restricted.
  • October 17: Puget Sound Heart and Stroke Walk will close streets around the Seattle Center and in Downtown.
  • October 17: Washington Huskies host the Oregon Ducks at Husky Stadium at 7:30PM.
  • October 18: There will be a full directional closure of eastbound SR 18 between Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast and I-90 from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m.  This work is weather dependent.
  • October 18: Seattle Seahawks host the Carolina Panthers at 1PM at CenturyLink Field.
  • October 19: Lane restrictions begin on 5th Ave. between Terrace St. and S. Washington St.
  • October 23 - 26: Eastbound I-90 closed between Seattle and Bellevue.  Traffic diverted to the express lanes.
  • October 24 - 25: Montlake Bridge closed for deck repairs.
  • October 31 - November 1: SR99 Viaduct closed for semi-annual inspection.
