The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.

This week's highlights: 

  • January 15 - 18: 23rd & E. Madison St. intersection closed for underground utility work.
  • January 18: Sidewalk on the east side of the Aurora Bridge closed through September for painting project.
  • January 18: Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day march and rally from Garfield High School to the Federal Building.
  • January 18: 24/7 lane closures begin on Aurora Ave. N. between the Aurora Bridge and Highland Dr. during installation of foundations for overhead signs; work is expected to take approximately 7 weeks.
  • January 22- 25: Westbound I-90 closed between Bellevue and Seattle; westbound traffic will be diverted to the express lanes.
  • January 22 - 25: Aurora Ave. N. reduced to one lane in each direction between the Aurora Bridge and Highland Dr.
