Terminal 5 Modernization Project: Investing in the region's future
Terminal 5 reopened in January of 2022 and is becoming a cornerstone of economic activity in the Pacific Northwest. Modernizing the truck gate complex and expanding Terminal 5's container storage yard will support the revitalization of a previously underutilized facility. While these improvements will in particular benefit agricultural exporters who rely on Terminal 5 to get their goods to the international market, the improvements to the safety, reliability, and efficiency of Seattle's Terminal 5 will be felt not just locally but in eastern Washington and beyond.
