The Seattle Department of Transportation's weekly transportation construction update highlights the projects and events that may impact travel through the Seattle area. View this week's update.

King County currently remains in Phase 2 of Governor Jay Inslee's 'Safe Start' reopening plan.  Accordingly, all special events, sporting events, and concerts have been canceled, postponed, or rescheduled until further notice, unless noted below.

  • Sept. 17: Lane reductions on the NB 1st Ave S / Duwamish River Bridge for grid deck repairs. Nightly 10 p.m.- 5 a.m.
  • Sept. 25 & 26: Lane reductions on NB I-5 over the Ship Canal Bridge for deck repairs. Nightly 9 p.m. - 9 a.m.
  • Sept. 26 & 27: Denny Way fully closed between 6th Ave and Dexter Ave for signal loop installation. Sat 7 a.m. - Sun 7 p.m.
  • Sept. 30 - mid-November: S Boeing Access Road reduced to one lane in each direction between EMWS & MLK Jr Way S. 24/7.
  • Oct. 3 & 4: Denny Way fully closed between 6th Ave and Dexter Ave for paving. Sat 7 a.m. - Sun 7 p.m.
  • Oct. 3: Full closure of the Montlake Bridge for grid deck repairs. 6 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Oct. 23: Full closure of the SR-99 Tunnel for monthly maintenance. Fri 10 p.m. - Sat 6 a.m.
  • Oct. 30: Full closure of the SR-99 Tunnel for monthly maintenance. Fri 10 p.m. - Sat 6 a.m.
